Who We Are

Kristin
Veterinary Care Team Leader
Kristin was born in Reno, Nevada but moved to Indiana in her early years. She is a graduate of Harrison College and has an Associates Degree in Applied Science for Veterinary Technology. She joined the Heartland Vet Care team shortly after their opening in 2018. Kristin has been working in the veterinary profession since 2009 and has a strong passion for veterinary medicine. She especially enjoys emergency and critical care as well as assisting in surgery. Kristin and her husband were married in 2011 and have two children, Kinlee and Karson. They have 2 dogs June, the Pitbull Terrier, and Remi the German Shepherd, and 1 cat named Fritz. In her free time, Kristin loves spending time with friends and family, doing anything outdoors, traveling, crafting, decorating, and assisting with her children's sports. ​

Dani
Registered Veterinary Technologist
Dani graduated from Tri Jr. Sr. High School in Straughn. In her senior year of high school, she enlisted in the Army and served in the Indiana Army National Guard for 6 years. She studied American Sign Language for two years, but realized she wanted to do something in the animal field. She later graduated from Penn Foster with a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Technology as well as Dog Behavior and Training and is a certified dog trainer. Dani brings experience in animal behavior and training to Heartland Vet Care and is available for consultation appointments.She currently lives in Shirley with her husband and son. She also has 3 dogs (LuLu, Domino, and River) and a RedFooted Tortoise (Munchie).​

Megan
Registered Veterinary Technician
Megan was born and raised in Shelby county. She grew up on a farm there and graduated from Shelbyville High School. She then attended Purdue University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in animal agribusiness. Post graduation, she went on to manage an equine facility until she went back to Purdue to obtain an associate degree in veterinary technology. Shortly after graduation, she became a board certified veterinary technician and has worked in the field for 6 years. Her main interests include assisting in surgery, dentistry, and equine lameness and nutrition.Megan enjoys spending time with her husband, nieces and nephews as well as showing horses, barrel racing and trail riding. At the moment, Megan has three cats, three horses and an ornery pony. She hopes to get more involved with rehabilitating wildlife once settled into her new and exciting life.​

Cherokee
Registered Veterinary Technician
Cherokee is a graduate of Tri High School and graduated from International Business College with an associates degree in Veterinary Technology. ​Cherokee has been around animals since the day she was born. In high school she showed horses and cattle and had dogs and cats growing up. Cherokee not only works with us here at Heartland Vet Care part-time, but she also spends her time working in the Emergency Room/Intensive Care Ward at an Emergency/Specialty hospital. Her interests in veterinary medicine revolve around surgery, emergency, and equine medicine and surgery.​ She lives in Greensburg with her dogs (Bandit, Jagger, Hershey, Saber and Mia) and feline friends (Whitey and Rue). She enjoys taking her dogs to the beach, out on the boat, or just being lazy around the house. She enjoys helping her grandfather care for the family farm, baking, going to New York, and being the biggest Lucille Ball fan.​

Sierra
Registered Veterinary Technician
Sierra was born in Cambridge City and raised in Greenfield, Indiana. She graduated from Greenfield-Central High School before attending the Vet Tech Institute at International Business College, where she earned her associate's degree in Veterinary Technology, graduating with honors. Sierra has always been passionate about caring for animals and has worked with both small and large throughout her life. She particularly enjoys educating clients, assisting in surgery, and helping sick pets recover and feel their best. She currently lives in Knightstown with her husband and their two rescue dogs (Charlotte, an American Pit Bull Terrier, and Indie, a Mountain Cur).
In her free time, Sierra enjoys going to the beach, eating sushi, and spending time with her family.

Aubrey
Registered Veterinary Technician
Aubrey was born and raised in Greenfield, Indiana. She graduated from Greenfield Central High School then went on to attend International Business College and graduated with an associates degree in Veterinary Technology.
She has always had a passion for all animals and enjoys being able to educate clients about their pets and how to make their life happy and healthy! She currently lives in Wilkinson with her husband and their 4 dogs (Stella, Fitz, Prince, and Roscoe). She enjoys camping and spending time with her friends and family.
